Our Story
Started at the wheel.
TORVIAN began in a small home studio with a secondhand pottery wheel and a lot of trial and error. The first mugs were lopsided and over-glazed β but friends wanted them anyway, and the studio grew from there.
Today we make a full collection of ceramics and home goods: stoneware mugs and bowls, vases and planters, hand-poured candles, and natural textiles. Still in small batches. Still finished by hand.
We choose natural materials and quiet, lasting forms. We'd rather make a few things well than many things fast β objects you'll reach for every day and keep for years.
What We Stand For
Three things that matter
Natural Materials
Real clay, soy wax, seagrass, and linen. Honest materials that age well and feel good to live with.
Made by Hand
Thrown, glazed, poured, and finished by hand in small batches. Every piece is a little different β and that's the point.
Made to Be Used
These aren't museum pieces. They're meant for morning coffee, dinner tables, and shelves you actually use.
How It's Made
From raw clay to your table
Throw
Each piece is shaped by hand on the wheel, then trimmed and left to dry slowly.
Glaze
We mix and apply our glazes by hand, so every batch has its own character.
Fire
Pieces are kiln-fired twice at high temperature for strength and a lasting finish.
Send
Each order is wrapped carefully in recycled materials and sent off with care.
